Turn Off Lights When Nursing
Tap once in Amme. The lights dim or go off — and come back when you're done.
How it works
When you start a nursing session in Amme, an iOS Shortcut can dim the lights, switch them off, or run a night-mode scene — so you never have to reach for a switch in the dark. Set it up once in Apple's Shortcuts app — it takes a few minutes — and from then on, every session you log triggers your scene. When you stop the timer, a second shortcut brings the lights back to where they were. It works with HomeKit, Philips Hue, LIFX, and other iOS-compatible smart lighting. No extra app to open mid-feed, no fumbling for switches, no fully waking the baby — or yourself.
Why it helps at 3 a.m.
Set up once, runs forever
Build the shortcut in Apple's Shortcuts app — it takes a few minutes — and every nursing session you log triggers your scene automatically. No tinkering after that.
HomeKit, Hue, LIFX
Works with HomeKit, Philips Hue, LIFX, and any other iOS-compatible smart lighting — dim a single lamp, run a whole-room scene, or switch everything off.
